IH Dooku in the novel was stated to have become the axis and center of the universe after being amped by the dark side. Mind you, it's not like Sidious was surpressed, since Dooku could sense Sidious

Strength because Dooku in a canon comic(just right before ROTS) was able to lock blades multiple times with Windu who was using Vaapad and wasn't overwhelmed at all. This is a Pre-Amp Dooku vs Vaapad amped Windu btw. And this Windu was RIGHT before ROTS, so it's not like he got stronger

Good edit, I think Dooku extreme diff because in the ROTS novel it said that in IH Dooku was the center of the dark side meaning that he was more powerful (then Post Order 66 Palps will be the center of the dark side) but I don’t know if I am correct.
