The conversation continues with Nicodemus and it’s obvious that this is about physical birth not about water baptism.

Okay I see that scripture however, the criminal on the cross was granted access to the Kingdom of heaven without a baptism. So if you are required to be baptized Jesus could not have said that to him it would have been a contradiction of himself and that's not possible as God cannot lie.

52 The Jews then disputed among themselves, saying, “How can this man give us his flesh to eat?” 53 So Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of man and drink his blood, you have no life in you; 54 he who eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. 55 For my flesh is food indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. 56 He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood abides in me, and I in him. 57 As the living Father sent me, and I live because of the Father, so he who eats me will live because of me. 58 This is the bread which came down from heaven, not such as the fathers ate and died; he who eats this bread will live for ever.” 59 This he said in the synagogue, as he taught at Caper′na-um.

It is so bad when you belong to a cult that teaches false doctrine, where that doctrine is a sacred cow that must never be questioned.

Act 17:11  These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.

1Th 5:21  Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.

2Ti 2:15  Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
2Ti 2:16  But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.

in these last days the protestant church has become just as authoritarian as the one they broke with, where you are forbidden to question doctrines, I asked question about osas in my first church because I found some scriptures against it and was told I was being bad, and finally just to believe it because they said so, I left and I will never go back to an osaser church, there is not enough gold, silver or any other precious metals or stones in the entire universe to get me to go back to an osaser church.

Water baptism is commanded, and that Is exactly what Jesus was telling Nicodemus, and there are other scriptures as well, but because the word of God flies in the face of man-made dogmas, people are taught to reject the bible and believe the man-mad dogma instead. false doctrines are lies and those who teach them are part b of Rev 21:8
