There is a new version of Unity available today. Unity 2022.2 is the next Tech Stream release (that's the one with all the goodies!) and in this video we go through what is new in Unity 2022.2. Oh an Entities / ECS are FINALLY production ready...

About the Switch ray tracing, you missed the dot for end of sentence after the X|S lol
Playstation and Switch are in the next sentence about the incremental build being available for these platforms.

Yeah the DX12 support was just for Xbox and Windows. There was a period separating those two sentences, but it was written in a way that it looked like it was part of the Series X|S branding. The Switch and Playstation sentence was touting the new player build process.

Still no support for C# 10. They should've focused more on things that concern most people. ECS sounds good tho.

My guess is that sentence meant to say just that DX12 is available on Switch. Hard to believe that Tegra chip from over half a decade ago supports RT 😆😆

For the Nintendo Switch, I think you are under-reading ' such as ' . I think what it means is that ray-tracing is one of the new features (along with others) and that THOSE FEATURES (but not necessarily ray tracing) are available on Nintendo Switch.

Wish they could fix the bug slowing down the editor. Been having big lagging issues in the editor IDE over the last bunch of releases. When you run a project in the editor is is fine but when you switch back to edit mode the editor slows down severely. The reason why I put a note here is because it is much worse in this release 2022.2 using Apple Silicon or Intel. I reported the bug a few months ago but the developers cancel the bug stating it is an internal matter. Anyone else having this issue where the editor slowing down to between 12FPS and in the version as low as 3FPS please report a bug so we can force the devs to flush out this bug.

I'm really interested in UI Toolkit in the Editor, or even how the status is for runtime usage. Would be super interesting to see a video on that topic

Sometimes i wish if ue was the same and got two versions like unity cuz why the heck do i need an alpha and beta features into my engine and taking alot of my storage space thats not make sense
