I love how they throw their head back and roll with their sound, like they're mustering the inner depths of their vocal cords for the growling bark they do hehe

A pack of 4 of these guys (mum, pop, and 2 kits) moved into our neighbourhood recently. We respect each other and coexist just fine. Really glad they arrived because in my culture, we believe that they're here to help us out during a hard time, which I'm definitely going through right now. Nothing more calming than seeing these guys lounging around around dusk and hearing them bark and climb one of our trees in the middle of the night.

And if you've never heard them before you'd think they're an animal choking to death like I did last night until I found them.😂

I have two fox friends at Point Reyes who I visit weekly and they sound just like this! I love their sounds, very unique and so fitting for them!

I live in a suburban area and I recently had one of these follow me home on my early morning walks before it’s light out. I originally thought it was a cat until I heard the hissing. It was way to loud and sharp. My piano teacher ended up telling me that the foxes hiss at her a lot, so I went home, did some research, and lo and behold, this was my night creeper friend. Imagine it’s 6 in the morning, still pitch black out, and you have nothing but a headlamp, your phone, and your dog (who happens to be a hugger, not a fighter) who’s also terrified of this thing and pressed up close. Keep in mind you’ve never heard this sound before, don’t know what animal it is, and also have no idea how to defend yourself if it were to be a dangerous animal. But now that I know what it is, I can finally go outside :)

They're also proficient with swords.

Doesn’t sound how expected. A wheezy croaky bark instead of the cute laughing noise of a red fox.

Yo I just googled this because one of these things was in the street outside my house and I needed to get something from my car at like 3am. I thought oh whatever it’s a cat, then it made this sound and started approaching me, I’m a grown man but I’m not too proud to say I ran back into my house.
