How to Care for Container Potted Roses

Roses are among the most loved and beautiful plants in gardens around the world. Rose don’t need much when it comes to caring for them other than the basic knowledge of pruning and fertilizing. But, what about those planted in pots and containers. The ground can replenish itself but containers are left without nutrients over time. In order to make sure our container roses thrive, they require a bit more maintenance. We replenish with rose tone fertilizer from @EspomaOrganic as well as Cow Manure that will break down over time to give your potting soil that much needed refreshing.

Thank you for video. The top layer of my potted roses is course and the water is not draining well through it. I am going to try this now with some new soil and fertilizer.

I will be putting my young potted hybrid Tea rosses in my shed for winter... should I let them go bone dry in winter or just keep them a bit damp until after the last deep frost when I take them out of the shed? (zone 5B)

Loved this video! Thank you! Are we able to reuse our mulch? Or will that cause diseases? Is it bad if I use mulch from one rose bed to another?

Thank you for the video, hope Angie feels better soon. This is my first time planting DA roses. All of my roses are in pots, but the blooms are small. Is that normal for first time? Should I put fertilizer now? I'm in North Texas, 8a.
