How to Plant and Care for Container Strawberries 🍓🍓🍓

Показать описание
Strawberries are one of the easiest fruits to successfully grow in containers! Learn how to plant and care for container strawberries and enjoy sweet, sun-ripened berries no matter where you are gardening. Strawberries can easily be grown in small pots or large planting containers- you can choose your container to suit the space you are growing in. 🍓🍓🍓
*Container size- 1/2 to 1 gallon pot (6-8" pot) per 1 plant
*Space plants 10-12 inches apart in a larger container
*Strawberries must have good drainage- select planting media that is well-drainage
and make sure your container is permeable or has drainage holes
*Optimal planting media is rich in organic matter, excellent drainage and just
slightly acidic- with a pH of 5.5-6.5
*Strawberries will have the best yield & flavor when planted in full sun, but can be
grown in part shade
*Feed plants with an all-natural, balanced fertilizer. I used a 4-3-4 in this video.
Avoid excess nitrogen as this leads to excess foliar growth and soft fruit.
*Provide with at least 1" of water per week
