There are not two separate tracks of God’s redemptive work in the world: one for Israel and another for Gentiles. God divorced Israel according to the flesh. There is now only one true Israel in accordance with the promise. Subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content like this!

My question is why did God make the old covenent if he knew that he would divorce them. God told abraham that it was eternal

At two minutes and 34 seconds you claim there is only "one Israel and its the church." How do you define "all Israel" in Romans 11:26? How can "all Israel" be the church since they are regarded by Paul as being enemies of the gospel just two verses later (Rom. 11:28)? Can the church be an enemy of the gospel?

I was dispy for 20 years before I embraced reformation. For these last ten years i have been unlearning all the dispensational meatloaf I was fed in those first 2 decades. That foul doctrine leaves the christian, at least in my case, a spiritual schizophrenic where you don't know which scriptures are meant for the christian, and which are meant for the jew. It is also a system that gives you no assurance, saved one day but lost the next, over and over. I was told that Calvinists had horns and were destined for hell. But then one day I read a book by AW Pink and realised I was in doctrinal darkness. Pink led me to the reformers and puritans, even the dreaded Calvin, and the most wonderful thing is that Grace became real for the first time in my salvation. There is no sweeter word in existence than grace.

It literally says, until the time of the Gentiles are fulfilled.

There is a remarriage for Israel following the divorce. Hosea 2:2 shows the divorce, however, Hosea 2:19-20 shows the remarriage. Hosea ends with the Lord demonstrating His mercy and forgiveness to an unfaithful wife, Hosea 14:4, "I will heal their apostasy, I will love them freely, for My anger has turned away from them." Also Isaiah 62:4-4 (verse 12 clearly equates the land with the people) refer to the same thing.

Yeah, but spoiler alert, God takes her back:

“And the Lord said to me, “Faithless Israel has shown herself more righteous than treacherous Judah. Go, and proclaim these words toward the north, and say, “‘Return, faithless Israel, declares the Lord. I will not look on you in anger, for I am merciful, declares the Lord; I will not be angry forever. Only acknowledge your guilt, that you rebelled against the Lord your God and scattered your favors among foreigners under every green tree, and that you have not obeyed my voice, declares the Lord. Return, O faithless children, declares the Lord; for I am your master; I will take you, one from a city and two from a family, and I will bring you to Zion. “‘And I will give you shepherds after my own heart, who will feed you with knowledge and understanding. And when you have multiplied and been fruitful in the land, in those days, declares the Lord, they shall no more say, “The ark of the covenant of the Lord.” It shall not come to mind or be remembered or missed; it shall not be made again. At that time Jerusalem shall be called the throne of the Lord, and all nations shall gather to it, to the presence of the Lord in Jerusalem, and they shall no more stubbornly follow their own evil heart. In those days the house of Judah shall join the house of Israel, and together they shall come from the land of the north to the land that I gave your fathers for a heritage.”
‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭3‬:‭11‬-‭18‬

The seed of Abraham is Christ not Judah or Jews. Anyone who is in Christ is the Israel of God. Period. Very simple.

The idea of a covenant means that God will keep it no matter what. God said that he would redeem israel for the sake of His name, not because they were faithful. The book of Hosea shows how God felt about Israel and it completely rejects what you say.

God’s Old Testament promises to Israel don’t change.

It is written:

Jer 3:8 And I saw, when for all the causes whereby backsliding Israel committed adultery I had put her away, and given her a bill of divorce; yet her treacherous sister Judah feared not, but went and played the harlot also.

Jer 3:14 Turn, O backsliding children, saith the LORD; for I am married unto you: and I will take you one of a city, and two of a family, and I will bring you to Zion:

A few short verses after saying that he gave Israel a bill of divorcement, he declares he is married to her (and will take her back).

Do you see what happens when you read his word without the leading of the Spirit?

Sir
If God gave up ALL HIS promises to HIS saints in the past Israel then HE would HAVE to give up on us
We are failures just as Israel was
We are all human failure

If ANYONE says their eschatology is 100% spot on they are either ignorant or proud or both. Solid brothers and sisters can disagree on it.

Just in the minor prophets does it say that God divorced Israel? I can't seem to find those verses. I'd also be interested in your opinion of Ezekiel 36:16-38.

So, yes it says that God divorced Israel (Jeremiah 3:8–10 - I added this Joel does not cite his "OT prophets), BUT what Joel does not say is what happens next - surprise God's Mercy Jeremiah 3:12)."Go and proclaim these words toward the north, and say, Return, thou backsliding Israel, saith the LORD; and I will not cause mine anger to fall upon you: for I am merciful, saith the LORD, and I will not keep anger for ever."

God will have to divorce the believer today because we are no better than Israel
God always acts to us in mercy and grace. Read Ezekiel carefully and you will see God will not give up on the remnant of Israel

I was right with you until @:02 mark you contradict yourself claiming the “flesh” Israel will be saved. You just did what dispensation people do, divided. There is no Greek or Jew or circumcised or uncircumcised we are all ONE in Christ according to the PROMISE, not the flesh.

11 So I ask, did they stumble in order that they might fall? By no means! Rather, through their trespass salvation has come to the Gentiles, so as to make Israel jealous. 12 Now if their trespass means riches for the world, and if their failure means riches for the Gentiles, how much more will their full inclusion mean! (Romans 11:11-12, ESV)

We are NOT the new Israel. We are not replacing Israel. You have no authority to say they are all in hell. You very obviously do not understand dispensationalism. Please check out Dr Gene Kim.

Ethinic Israel no longer exists. Deuteronomy 28 was fulfilled in 70AD this they were dispersed throughout the Roman empire, ethnically mixed amoung the nations and their ancestoral documents destroyed.

If Israel is divorced ( to which I agree) never to be taken up again in the time of the tribulation then God will not have delivered on His promise. But if they are to be taken up again while the church is with the Lord in Heaven, they God will indeed be able to deliver on His promise to them. Just because Israel has been set aside for over 2400 years does not mean it will be taken up again by God as promised in the Old Testament. And just because you don't believe it doesn't mean it is not true. God's word is true. Not what you believe or say.
