I took my IELTS academic exam recently. For the past month, I had been waking up every morning listening to the Band 9 and Band 8 sample video on this channel. I got my results today, I scored Band 9 in speaking. I just wanted to really show my appreciation for this channel. I was constantly taking on-board the tips from all the youtube videos on this channel. To summarise what I noticed in the higher band speaking exams:
1. Somehow include past, present, and future tenses in your answers
2. Use 'having said that' and give an alternative view
3. Give examples
4. add a number e.g 2 years ago

I used all of these in my exam.

Watching this video, I realize one more time that IELTS doesn't test only one's English knowledge. You need oratory skills, wider outlook and knowledge in many fields

I wish I can get more videos like this, he was so good, I feel like I can copy his accent right after watching this video, this is so important for me to get used to british accent bcs english is not my mother tongue and I never lived in english speaking country.

I remembered that I watched 2 videos from this channel right before my previous IELTS exam one month ago bcs I came too early on that day and I just wanted to spent my time, but I’m so glad that I able to got 7 on my speaking by doing that.

I will do an IELTS exam again 2 days later and I’m so nervous, I wish I can lift up my speaking score.
