I've been doing this since my first Thanksgiving dinner of my own in my first apartment at 19. I would put the pan in the oven with butter, brown sugar, and nutmeg until melted and bubbly, add two large cans sugary Sam's, mostly drained, and mix around. Add a bit more brown sugar if needed, tops with pecans or marshmallows (I've done half and half to appease siblings) and bake till bubbly. So easy. I've made them from fresh, but I still prefer the sugary Sam's.

Simple yet effective recipe. Trying this on the grill but I’m adding a dash of cinnamon, 2 table spoons of sugar and some mild Hatch green chili prob about 2 chilies. Cheers from NM

Thank you for the instructions. I attempt these every year and without fail, the marshmallows melt away instead of staying pretty, puffy, and browned like yours. Think I'll make ahead this year so liquid sets up then reheat with more marshmallows that hopefully won't dissolve 😓🙏
