***Companion Best Food Guide to Mexico City ***

Today's video is all about food, great Mexican food and the best restaurants in Mexico City. Mexico City (CDMX) is one of our favorite travel destination for many reasons, one of which is the incredible food. Thanks to fascinating traditions and history, Mexico’s cuisine holds a spot on the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage list. So, upon our arrival in Mexico City (CDMX), a conglomeration of all things Mexican cuisine, it was clear that we had to organize a food tour.

We found everything in Mexico City. It’s a culinary hub featuring the best eats from all over the country, allowing residents and visitors alike to fuel up and trace the history of this incredible valley back to Mayan and Aztec times. The two most prized ingredients of pre-Hispanic Mexican cuisine - corn and chocolate - are cherished in modern Mexican cuisine. With colonization, the influence of neighbors, and trade, new ingredients were introduced, and brand-new dishes were invented to create the best Mexican food we know and love today.

Our DIY food tour in Mexico City was a foodie adventure, with a variety of must-try dishes from the city's best eateries. The challenge of narrowing down our selections to just 10 was a testament to the city's culinary diversity. With great gusto, we share our findings on where to eat in Mexico City and what to order, promising a journey that will satisfy your appetite and leave you with delicious memories. Our companion guide on our website gives more details, along with a downloadable map to help you find each location.

The greatness of Mexico City's food lies in its extraordinary ability to blend tradition with innovation, creating a culinary experience that is as diverse as the city itself. From the bustling street stalls serving up tacos al pastor with flavors so deep they echo centuries of history, to world-class restaurants where chefs reimagine classic dishes with cutting-edge techniques, Mexico City's food scene is a testament to the richness of Mexican culture. It is a place where every bite tells a story of resilience, creativity, and an unyielding passion for flavor, making it one of the most dynamic and celebrated food capitals in the world.
Great video, Retirement Travelers!

Trying different foods is one of my favorite things to do when visiting a new place. I didn't realize Mexico City is such a foodie spot. Great to know!

I am a big fan of your work and I admire your enthusiasm; you are a great inspiration now that I am getting really close to retirement, however as a Mexican American I have to say that I strongly dislike the Mexican stereotype theme you used in your thumbnail, you are way better than that. You have gone to some many countries and this is the first time I see you do that. For me, personally it is not funny but more like promoting stereotypes linked to Mexico. Anyways, I love what you are doing and like I said, I am a big fan of your work.❤

Wow! LOVE IT! THANK YOU!!! Visited CDMX (or I should say ate our way through CDMX) in July and LOVED IT! Going back next year and will use your food recommendations.. THANKS! Love how you are not afraid of street food. We LOVE street food everywhere! Pro tip ... if you visit China don't miss the street food! The food in Mexico is wonderful ... BUT ... the food in China is out of this world. Every city has a specialty and the street food is fantastic. Get a tour and tell your guide to include specialty street food and you will love it and create a fantastic video! THANK YOU!!!

Thanks for this mouth-watering video! CDMX is my fav city. I can’t believe it’s been 5 years since I’ve last visited. I’ve been to Pujol twice and all the other top restaurants in the city but I need to start eating some street food. Your list is now saved. 🙏🏼

It is excellent that you can check our gastronomy is its real form, because in the United States most Mexican restaurants are designed to season the food in a way that it is more pleasant to Native Americans 🇺🇸 and in reality it changes a lot all the flavors compared to eating in Mexico 🇲🇽…
Excellent food for all..🎉

I have to say, the last people i want advice about mexico food is from retired white folk. Tamales arent breakfast regulars, theyre usually reserved for the holiday season, climaxing around christmas. Tlacoyos are just gorditas but instead of deeo fried theyre cooked on the stove. Elotes are literally everywhere only difference you will find if its grilled or steamed, usually acompanied with raspas. You guys need a legit local that is in poverty to actually taste what mexican eat. That being said, great video, you lovely gringos.

Very few Mexicans have Tamales for breakfast, it's not even a breakfast food..Eggs in different Mexican styles are a lot more popular.

Just remember street food is probably going to give you Montezuma's revenge. It's cheap and really is there for the poorer part of the population ! So hygiene comes second to value for money ! I know. I lived here nearly fifty years so I'm not a tourist.

The Mexican Food is not nachos and burritos that conception’s came from south USA North Mexico invention adopted by North Americans as formula to get fast food for lunch.

Real Mexican Food goes beyond a single country.

Every state has their own typical Mexican Food due to diversity of regional subcultures.

At the same time Mexico is not hats, Pancho Villa or May 5th.

Thanks for the space

Greetings 🖖🏼
