Just hope if in New York or LA you don't need the fire department or ambulance. It not because they are bad. They are some of the best guys I work with today. But the idiots on the road make it hard as hell to get to calls. I am fire fighter in Las Vegas. And it is hard here.

@eveningniteshade In all big citys it's normal that the driver's didn't make much place for an emergency vehicle.

@CTFD13 I can see that for the cars. But what about the people that are walking. They will cross infront of us all the time. I drive a water tender some times. I had a lady pushing a stroller while I was rolling to a large brush fire I slow down as I approch intersections just for this reason. I was just pulling into the the intersection she just started to walk into the path of my truck. I had to hard brake and come to a compleat stop because she stopped infront of me. Thank God I slow down.

@eveningniteshade naw, they dont have problems running into things. you would be amazed at how bad the drivers are. too fast, too slow, swerving, running red lights, getting mad at other people for their own mistakes. they get pulled over for speeding, and they fight the ticket for some reason. Plus the fact that cars are becoming so sound proof now, plus the radio is up, the cell phone is against the ear, the kids are screaming... you name it, its probably going on in a car right now.
