@542401 No, the light force has 6 FF total, one on the pump (the engineer), and five on the truck. Sometimes one of the FFs on the truck will ride with the pump.

me personally, i like the automatic alarm calls because its like a surprise. because sometimes you'll have a fire. ( rarely)

@dangerjp In the LAFD, a lightforce is a six man company consisting of a truck and an accompanying engine (ex. Lightforce 27 = Truck 27 + Engine 227). All LAFD truck companies, with the exception of truck 9, respond in this way enabling them to operate as either a truck or engine company depending on what's needed at the scene.

Engine 227 is not fully staffed. The bulk of the lightforce's crew rides on the truck.

Somehow I would think if that department got a call, that bell would ring with A LOT mor Vigor, that actually sounded a little dull....LOL Would you happen to know by chance if there is a video out there taken from the POV of the driver that drives the back part of the truck that we are riding in here? Thank you so very much....

Why do they call the ladder trucks light force?

@dangerjp Its not that they call it like that is just like a Type of Box Alarm, if they say light force means the Engine 27 and Ladder 27 also an Ambulance if they have one with number 27 at the station it depends on the call and the box alarm.
