I installed a 1:1 seven stage tankless undercounter RO system followed by a UV sterilization stage and drinking water faucet in the countertop. I run the reject stream back to the fresh water tank and since we only make 2-3 gallons of drinking water per day the impact of the reject stream going to the 90 gallon fresh tank is insignificant. I have tested the water routinely for the last two years and the system performs wonderfully. No more carrying heavy cases of bottled water. No more disposing of countless plastic water bottles. We couldn’t be happier.

Hi guys - we have be RVing for the past 3 years. Lugging water bottles got really old really fast. We installed an Acuva and love 💕 it. The water has a great taste and gives you peace of mind knowing it is even better than what you get in plastic bottles. We are thankful for all the wonderful tips and information you have provided. Safe travels 😊🇺🇸

We've been running our drinking water through a Brita pitcher ever since we had a water issue with the pup on a trip. $17 for 3 filters, lasts 3 months.

I agree. Safe drinking water is essential for life and other things.

I use a whole house UV filter for my motorhome. So everything in my couch runs though two charcol filters and the UV filter. This way nothing grows in the pipes.

Sure would like one that takes care of all of it, all at once, the kitchen H2o, bathroom shower, bathroom sink, outdoor shower, etc) in my rig.👍🏽

We want the Acuva for our RV and the question we have is how would someone winterize with this system? Would bypass valves need to be installed like on a water heater?

I’ve got a rare circumstance that I could really use your help with. I don’t need my water to be perfect, I don’t like to haul around water, but I can’t post in a primitive campground and the county delivers a 500 gallon tank on a trailer that I use over the course of a month to pump into my RV weekly. They made the mistake of buying a white opaque tank and the sun heats up the water and it sometimes turns green. Their solution was to pour bleach into it. They gave me chemical. I use test strips to make sure there’s enough chlorine in there to kill the bacteria but not enough to harm me. The issue is these chemicals they’re giving me aren’t bringing up the free chlorine and I think I’ve been ingesting some kind of cleanser. I’m not having any adverse side effects but I can taste it. I’m thinking about just using plain Clorox bleach, but wanted to know if there’s something better. I’ve looked online and most of the alternatives for water. Purification are extremely expensive, I just need something to keep the water from growing bacteria, without changing the taste too much and without any negative negative health side effects. I’ve been googling it for months and I am still confused and don’t know what I need to know. Would the system in this video alleviate all of my issues if the water turns green or if I put chemicals in it to keep it from turning green? I’m not too excited about drilling a hole in my countertop. I already have very little space.
There’s also the icemaker issue, my refrigerator has a built-in icemaker. I have found zero information on how to keep the water in county water tank free of bacteria, other than a few cap of bleach for every 500 gallons. The test strips they gave me are for a pool, drinking water test strips are super expensive. I plan on continuing to do this work for many years, so I just wonder if you have any information that could be helpful. 🙏🏻💕

Thanks for the video guys.
I'm curious - if I wanted to do one of these without the little faucet it comes with, could I install the unit in the basement, near the water pump, so that it purifies everything going through the lines - whether from the city or fresh water supplies?

Hello, what sort of particle filtration do you have? Perhaps a video on the topic if you don't already have one? 😀 I can see killing bacteria as good but that device doesn't filter the water.

How does the water quality compare to a Berkey?

We have the same Acuva as your first one and wonder how we ever did without it. I am curious, since you installed your Acuva have you felt the need to sanitize your tank?

Hey guys - so you don’t use any filtering before filling up your fresh water tank? The Acuva folks online told me their system doesn’t do anything for taste - do you do anything? Does this only provide a single clean source or does it also provide a supply line to the freezer ice maker? I like the solution just concerned about taste too. Thx - Rob

If one is seriously concerned that the water coming into the RV is not safe to drink, how about the hot water used to wash dishes? Shouldn’t that also be purified? Our water heaters don’t raise it to boiling, do they?
