NVIDIA has no respect for its customers anymore and if it wasn't for gamers over the years they would be nowhere. Everyone needs to stop purchasing new products and buy them from the used market. Hitting their bottom line is the only thing that will make NVIDIA listen.

Nvidia always tries to give the least amount of vram and uplift for as much money as possible these days generation to generation

If the 16GB is true on the 5080, then I’m switch to AMD, the 7900 XTX already has 24GB and my poor 3070 8GB is holding on.. but what a piss take!! The next consoles will have more memory!

RTX 5090 - 32gb
RTX 5080 - 24gb
RTX 5070 - 16gb
RTX 5060 - no one cares
RTX 5050 - 8gb for the memes.

Make it happen Nvidia.

At this point im pretty sure that the RTX 5080 with 16GB of VRAM will be the same situation as the 12GB on the 4070

The GTX 580 was a 24% increase in performance over the GTX 480. The GTX 680 was a 23% increase over the GTX 580. The GTX 780 was a 24% increase over the GTX 680. The GTX 980 was a 38% increase over the GTX 780. The GTX 1080 was a 51% increase over the GTX 980. The RTX 2080 was a 39% increase over the GTX 1080. The RTX 3080 was a 63% increase over the RTX 2080. The RTX 4080 was a 49% increase over the RTX 3080. The average performance uplift generationally is about 39% but I remember that people thought the GTX 680 was so much better than the GTX 580 back then and it was just a 23% increase in performance for the same price. So if a 23% upgrade in performance qualifies it as 80 class then where would the RTX 4080 sit now in terms of performance if each generation was just a 23% uplift? If each generation's 80 class only improved by around 23% each generation then we would have the RTX 4080 being at the performance level of the RTX 2080 ti or RTX 3070. I just thought that was interesting.

Ah yes, a card that cost a kidney, and still has only 16GB Vram. For fuck sakes when can we again experience the $699 for a flagship card.

EVGA 3090Ti here idk if im going to upgrade with those specs they need to drop prices down to an actual level so we can recoup the issues of paying scalping prices. No one got to take advantage of that 800 dollar price tag. My card is STILL SELLING FOR $2, 199 on amazon ffs.

4:20 Bro, there is no such thing a s a "90 class" card. There was definitely not a "90 class" card when the 1080Ti was released in the 10 series. They literally pulled marketing jargon on you and convinced you that "90 class" is a thing when all they did was shift the numbers around. Flagship, top performer is and will still be the the top performer regardless of what "class" you call it. You all let this happen and it's pretty lame. Stop falling for their marketing terms and the artificial. They're playing number games on you and it worked. A 3090 is a 3090 in name only, likewise for the 4090... But now you allowed them to establish 90 is the new 80. Except you think it's somehow better than an 80 because they used a different number and then used the 80 on something lower performing. There is no sanity in naming anymore. CPUs or GPUs.... And everyone has played into it. I'm not doing it and I'm not playing decoder games, spin the wheel to determine the product....

90 class card started in rtx3000 series. It replaces the Titan class . In RTX 2000 series, Nvidia charged $2499 for Titan RTX . Since 4090 sales has been doing so well, I think Nvidia will try to charge well over 2k for 5090 this time

If he 5080 is as fast as the 4090 for 900 USD, that is an upgrade worth considering for a lot of people. Usually the best value is at the 70s cards though, unless you game at 4K.

In 2028, Nvidia's 80 class gpus will be 2 to 3 generations behind its 90 class. And the lower ends... 5 generations+

Nvdia be like: "faster than a 4090 (gives it 8gb VRAM)"

I just sold my old 3000 series nvidia and went to AMD 7900XT. Done with nvidia screwing over customers that made them. I don't care about ray tracing. Turning on ray tracing in D4 my FPS went from 100+ FPS to under 40 F that.

This makes me appreciate my 7900XTX soo much even more than i already do. Its an GTX 4080 Ti and sometimes trades blows with 4090 and isnt threatening to melt after 6 month's. With RT on its the same and a bit better than a 3090 Ti. Amazing card.
