Nowadays : 5070 is faster than 4070tiS
In the future : 6070 is faster than 5070s
At some point : 7070 is faster than 6070 but only when you use dlss 69

Only 10% better in ray tracing??? I thought RT performance would be the biggest focus of Blackwell. So an underwhelming improvement to Raster and Ray tracing performance and no increase in VRAM. What exactly are these next gen GPU's offering??

I’m pretty happy with my 7900XT, as someone who doesn’t use DLSS or ray tracing it has crazy rasterization for the price point, I get like 200+ fps on most titles 1440p high settings, no upscaling

God I hate Nvidia at this point. I was such a huge Nvidia guy for the longest time. I switched to AMD with my last build and am pleased with it. Not getting azz f***ed by Nvidia's scummy pricing practice anymore.

What Nvidia did with the 40 series was disgusting. They thought we'd fall for the fake frame con. At launch, every card below the 4070Ti was named 1 tier above the card it was replacing, and priced 2 tiers higher. They skimped on the VRAM knowing it would force ppl to upgrade within 2 years, just to be able to play games at medium settings. That trend is now set for the 50 series, only now the ripoff starts with the 5080 16GB, which should be called a 5070. They're beyond contempt. Simply disgusting treatment for anyone on a budget. I only hope the RX8800XT makes that '5080 16GB' look like the ripoff con it truly is!

At what point do you call out consumers for paying the same price year after year for the same levels of performance? Companies will rip you off if you display a willingness to accept it.

They already have a 6000 series card, this is how business works. You make something incredible and then you sell small margin upgrades along the way.

Pretty sure they'll phase out the 5080 16GB and the 5070 12GB and sell the 24/18GB versions instead about 6-12 months after release. Else they'd have a 18GB 5070 and a 16GB 5080 which, while not unprecedented, would be extra stupid.
