Seth Macy sits down with Digital Foundry's Richard Leadbetter to break down the announcement of NVIDIA's 50 Series GPUs and its groundbreaking DLSS 4 technology. What does this mean for gamers, creators, and the future of gaming hardware? We explore why the 50 Series GPUs are so significant, who should upgrade (or not), and how the new architecture can compete with NVIDIA's own top-tier 4090 at a competitive price point. Plus, we dive into DLSS 4, its potential impact on gaming laptops, and whether we’ll see this cutting-edge tech in the Nintendo Switch 2.

I'll pay for my 5090 in cash! 3 out of 4 notes will be photocopied.

The videostream quality from Richard could use some DLSS 4.

We are getting very close to Nvidia producing the same cards and just locking performance behind software

Love adding in Digital Foundry input to interviews.

Rich has just increased the quality of IGN's tech content by 3x frame generation

Why doesn't ign make their videos in 4k, and why is the digital foundry camera 360p?

Pretty great that some of the key features are going to work with the older models. It would be great to see an explanation of the features that actually will work with the 20, 30 and 40 series cards.

I think I’m just going to continue with my RTX 4090 FE and see what the future of the 6090 will be, and I hope it’s brute power and not Ai.

Richard is right, CPU is very important. Get that X3D!

I appreciate how everyone thinks they're the type of player who would not be able to play with a 5070 because they're a hardcore pro and would be able to tell the difference easily. When 90% of players would be just fine with a 5070.

Remember that 4000 series is getting DLSS 4. Just not the exclusive Multi framegeneration feature :)

We don't need new gpu for games. We need BETTER OPTIMIZATION

considering I'm still rocking a 1060 with health issues...Yes, upgrading will be very worth it

With all the discourse about 'fake frames' you'd expect this to make these cards less desirable. But I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say they're going to be sold out for months and have inflated prices for a long time.

If my panel only up to 144Hz, do I need over powered GPU cards?

With the new ghosting and quality improvements to DLSS I think the days of the major complaints against it is over. Now if they can lock down the latency and further reach parity for image quality to raster (which obviously over time that would be the case) we will finally be in the real future of gaming.

Richard has a soothing narrator-like voice, this video could help me fall asleep lol

Game mode with frame gen on Samsung TV's give around 10ms added latency going from 30 fps to 60 fps and picture looks ao better! I play all PS4 games this way
