I was wondering how to secure my top. I had brackets screwed into my old Formica top. Thanks, I'm off to buy some silicone.

My vanity has a rubber seal all the way around the top, do I pit a bead of silicone on that rubber seal?

I understand quartz requires epoxy to last. Mine is so heavy it probably doesn't need to adhere to the vanity. But I will be using epoxy tomorrow. Also if your sink is quartz or stone or man-made materials, not all pipe putty is compatible. Read directions.

Question, why are there only few contact points under my new vanity top. Two sides and two front corners and along back under the vanity back splash. Seems I will only be applying silicone at those points. There are voids on both aft and fore of those contact points where top does not contact the cabinet. What then?
