had my 197bhp 1.6t sri 4 weeks now bought used 2014 on 39k still feels tight like it's just rolled out the factory gorgeous looking cars and you still hardly see them around

Getting mine in a few weeks, Ordered a GTC 2.0 cdti SRi in Deep Sky Blue. Only driven fords before now.

Yeah well... I'm a year older than you, and I got my bright red GTC two weeks ago. Got the Sport package, which in this country is pretty much like the SRi. 1.4T, so 140 bhp, perhaps a bit sluggish. I don't care. I get envious looks from men, admiring looks from attractive young women, and it's LOADS of fun to drive. And it still transports my wife, child, and a trolley full of shopping. Opel/Vauxhall may be a bit boring, but not this one. Oh boy.

I have this car in the 165 SRI spec, and it will not return 59mpg, if driven at 70mph it will do 50mpg. However combined over 17kmiles I've averaged 34mpg, from New.

Not particularly good looking, like all vauxhalls the residual value will be poor.

I've owned two astras, a '97 and an 05, I thought they were great at the time, then I bought a volkswagen, I won't ever drive a vauxhall again.
