It isn’t 40 times the power of Hiroshima. Hiroshima was little boy which had a yield of 15kt, the minutemen have a yield of 300-330kt so 20-22 times more powerful, also each minutemen can carry 3 warheads if required. Also there are 450 minutemen missiles, 400 are deployed actively and the 50 remaining are held in reserve.

You know, the sad reality of Nuclear War is that most people, not all, most- Would actually want to die instantly and not live in the aftermath of such a devastated world-

The only thing I wanna know is would they actually activate the EAS (Emergency Alert System) prior to the first detonation? If I have fifteen-twenty minutes I'd like a death other than bursting into flames with third degree burns or literally decaying over days to weeks from radiation poisoning, some may love living in a post apocalyptic nightmare but I'm not one of them.
