The United States (USA) vs The World - Who Would Win?

Since the USSR's fall in 1991, the US has held unmatched economic and military dominance globally.

Even with China's rise, the US remains the most powerful, with three times the wealth and five times the military strength. Its advantages extend to geography and demographics. Thus, the US's status as a global hegemon seems secure.

But what if the US faced the world in conflict? Could it still win?

Today, we’ll take a closer look at these questions, with a ‘USA vs the world’ wargame.

The fact that something like this is even being discussed speaks volumes about the extent of American dominance.

World: "Would we win a war against the US?"

The US: "I will make sure that someone else raises your sons and daughters if you try"

Even if we wouldn't win, the fact that anyone is asking this question is boosting my American pride so much.

Worth pointing out... the US is often considered hilariously weak for its spending in cybersecurity against Russia & China. However, it's worth point out this has a reason. Russia & China both have closed internet networks, while the US's is open due to freedom of speech.

This can actually be _suspended_ during wartime if martial law is declared, and the main hubs are all government controlled or with multinational businesses with DOD contracts.

This means the US internet would be able to shut tight almost instantly the moment it chose to do so. China and Russia are used to targeting an open US internet, while the US cybersecurity is used to fighting with an open internet to defend against countries with a closed internet. The moment that switch flipped, Russia and China would not be prepared for what happened next. US has a ton of quantum computing already available, and could hypothetically crack any system they wanted with no sweat. They have the resources to do so, they just haven't used it.

Also, the nuclear part of the equation is jiggled by one big peace... the US has bases all around the world _for a reason_ (this is actually why the US wouldn't pull out of these bases in a conflict). Many of these bases are equipped with anti-nuclear weaponry designed to shoot down other country's nuclear arsenal providing a literally world-wide nuclear defense shield. In other words, in the event of all-out nuclear war, everyone's launching, but only the US's missiles are landing.

The more interesting scenario is the one presented in the books following Enders Game, where the US isolates, puts defensive weapons systems in space, creates a “Utopia” within its borders and focuses on space exploration. In those books, the rest of the world destabilizes, stopped from nuclear annihilation only by the threat posed by US space based weapons.

Stalemate. The U.S. would cripple itself attempting to actually go on the offensive, but if they turned the immense power of their military entirely towards defense of itself, it is so well positioned and powerful that even every nation combined wouldn’t be able to sustain an offensive capable of defeating it.

Stalemate. The U.S. can’t beat the world offensively, the world can’t beat the U.S. defensively.

The US gets it's power by being a friend to countries all over the world, so this is hard to even imagine.

This video puts into perspective even more how strong NATO is.
In this scenario Europe would be one of the US’s major adversaries, and we all know this scenario is pretty much impossible.

Now remove Europe as an adversary and make them a strong ally. This combined force is what Russian bots think they have any chance whatsoever against.

It really makes me laugh when I see people seriously debating Russia vs NATO… Just allow Finland alone to join the war and help Ukraine and Russia already has its hands more than full.
