Additionally I think the changing tech landscape and everyday someone coming up with an idea and marketing it as the next big thing and to top it the business people coming back with that to technology is also a big challenge. The excitement dwindles faster than the hype and most tech die way too fast though only after troubling architects and all the technologists at times. This overall excitement, buzz created though lays forward impossible expectations from data folks and to govern an environment (data governance and architecture) poses a difficult challenge altogether, in my opinion.
