I am currently on my 1st year of BTech and i am confused whether to choose between Data Science or Engineer. At first i was drawn towards Data Science due to the impressive salary. Then i came to know about Data engineering and i am interested in that as well. I have researched a lot about both of them and i am still contused what to choose. Since i like data science more due to the salary after reading some articles its stated that the salary you see in websistes about data scientists are those who are holding high level degree like phd and the time spent in learning those skills you can start as a data engineer and earn the same salary as a data scientist within 5 years.
So comming to the main question how do i get to know what is more apt for me between these 2 domains.
I need it to be a permanent decision with no regrets.
