CON EDISON HAS NOT BEEN ABLE TO PROVIDE RELIABLE POWER ALL SUMMER TO LOWER MANHATTAN FROM 20TH STREET BELOW. TONS OF EQUIPMENT THAT REQUIRES CONSTANT 208 VOLTAGE HAVE FAILED SUCH AS ELEVATORS, MOTORS, BOILERS ETC...

I remember some years ago there was a multi-state blackout on a hot summer day. I was working on E 42nd street and Lexington Avenue. I walked from there, all the way to Bed Stuy in dress shoes. There were so many people walking over the Brooklyn Bridge that you could literally feel the bridge swaying. I think we were let out sometime during the 4PM hour and I didn't reach Bed Stuy until after 9PM. I'm just grateful that I wasn't on the elevator in the building I worked in when the blackout struck. I just walked down many flights of stairs to exit the building. Welcome to NYC.

I don't think it's mta fault. Coned has been decreasing power for the past few weeks. My AC is running with no cold air.wven the fan is not giving air. At work building isn't cool and fan can't work. But everyone is saying go solar go electric but it can't even sustain heatwave.

Man people complaining and not realizing there is other options to go to your destination I use the j train and had to use other lines and buses and still got home people don't realize the system is old and is running 24/7 to bring millions to there destinations every day so it happens what can you do it's always great to have a plan b on your trip than staying at a station waiting hours or night and being miserableI always tell people plan a head if you see a train stuck in a station for more than 20 mintues start planning there is apps that can help you and maps of the system

Buses work in power outages, take a bus downtown or uptown and use the subway as normal. Sucks ass, but people standing around and waffling about without figuring out alternatives and being independent adults is pretty laughable.

Stop with all the beefing. Take a cab or walk home. That's life in the 2024 Big Apple.

Every day, it
takes 2 hours to get from Manhattan to Queens. Poor, mediocre service provided by MTA.
