The plaintiff rented a room in the defendants’ house. He says the defendants didn’t like that he came home late from school, so he moved out. He’s suing for his security deposit and moving fees. The defendants argue the plaintiff wore too much cologne, stunk up the house, and left the place a mess. They’re countersuing for slander.

I don’t believe the defendants confronted him and told him he was being evicted for bowel issue odors. Why wouldn’t they suggest he get medical attention if what they are saying is true? Sounds cruel to try and humiliate someone on national tv.

The defendants need to add a stronger fan to the bathroom. So what if the plaintiff had Lysol in his room. A lot of people use Lysol. The defendants could have done more to make it work. It the plaintiff has a medical condition, I would think it’s discriminatory to evict him like that.

Honestly I think the smell is probably a real thing. Maybe he needs some probiotics. But the landlords seem sussy, they want cash and they don't know the tenant's rights yet they've been renting tons of rooms. Plus they of course want students who don't know their rights. They should be audited

Fun fact: According to my friend who is a nurse, there are many medical issues that cause a person's "BM or gas"(either one) to be so bad that the smell does indeed permeate the carpets and walls in their room(it's actually from their flatulence). "The more you know"😂.

I don't know what scent it is, but there's one scent that literally stops me from breathing immediately when someone walks by with the scent on them! And, most of the time, they are passing me in a store. I'm so glad when they just keep on walking!!!
