Food is very essential to our body. Eating different kinds of food helps you stay healthy and keeps you from getting sick. But do you know what kinds of food are best to put on your plate? In this lesson, kids will learn about the five food groups and how each one contributes to good health and nutrition. Foods are grouped together because they contain similar amounts of key nutrients. The five food groups are Protein Food, Grain Food, Fruits, Vegetables, and Dairy Food.
