DeWalt Powerstack vs 20V Max? Which DeWalt Battery Should You Buy

preview_player
Показать описание
DeWalt 20V POWERSTACK battery packs were the first stacked lithium pouch cell battery to hit the market back in December. Using their DCF850 and DCD797 compact impact driver and hammer drill, we compared the POWERSTACK 1.7Ah model and the 20V Max 2.0Ah predecessor through a series of tests. Is POWERSTACK more powerful? Let's find out.

Excellent no nonsense testing and comparison Fellas! It will be very interesting to see where DeWalt takes this in the future? I see Kenny’s favorite FLEX is coming out with a similar type of battery? 🤔😃😂 Just messing with you Kenny.

Peace fellas! 👍✌🏻🇺🇸☺️

Do they try to make it confusing? If so, they do a very good job!

All these channels are talking about on-tap immediate power flow. WHY isn't anyone talking about DURATION?!?
The 2AH battery should outlast the 1.7AH Powerstack... YES or NO?!?

There is no shortage of reviews out there of people comparing the Powerstack to the compact 2Ah and/or the two row 5Ah, BUT what we really want to see is how it compares to the 21700 cell based compact batteries, like the 3Ah DCB230 or 4Ah DCB240. Follow up test?

I find your charts at 1:39 agitating. Could you keep the scale between them consistent? The 9.75 second PowerStack Bar is larger than the 11.42 second 20V Max bar. Having a consistent scale would really sell the difference between the two batteries.

You displayed the power but, what about longevity? If I'm drilling in lags I would use a 5AH battery anyway. I feel the 2AH battery should be tested against the Powerstack for number of screws driven. It loses power much faster than you think.

Good review for for me but I'll stick with my existing 2AH packs as they work just fine for me. I can't justify paying more for smaller 1.7ah powerstack and I have 5ah when I need more power so there are other things I'd rather spend money on. If this scales up to 5-8Ah I'd be interested for lawn tools if they are physically smaller or lighter at the larger sizes.

Don't really see the point in tiny batteries like these to begin with other than to give consumers the cheapest option with cordless tool kits

We need a video with a machine that will give equal downward pressure to get an exact reading and difference

Hello again Pro Tools Reviews
Thank you for another Great Video. 1) Has any on making this in the 12 Volt lineup? 2) Has anyone tested this in metal, not just wood? Again thank you

I will stick with the cylindrical design thanks. Much more durable and a longer lifespan overall.

Are they better?
Is fat meat greasy? I’ve charged mine twice this month. It took 13 minutes. I walked by the charger and saw the full light on. I thought the battery was a dudd. One charge lasts me for the better portion of two weeks; taking a loose bolts and installing them on the go.

How many screws can you put with powerstack? 3 inch

I had a pair of these for less than 6 months, one of the batteries would not charge after 3 months of light use, the second would wear down to 2 lights on the meter and would not provide continuous use on a drill, it would run about 10 seconds and shut off.. 30 seconds later it would do the same and drop out again. Overpriced garbage is how I grade the new power stack.

I purchased a Dewalt router with 2 - 1.7ah power stack batteries, first in my opinion these do not last as long as the older 2.0ah batteries and second they are a bear to get on/off all of my dewalt tools including the new router, the new batteries are made in china and the older ones mexico. caveat!
