Trunks needs to fight on, he's THE Warrior of Hope, our would-be Warrior of Hope. This guy (Trunks) is the best character you'll ever meet personally, he's full of passion to protect his future, he'll never back down, especially with the people's backing (In Super, Vegeta gave Trunks motivation to fight, and prevented him from giving up).
He wields the spirits of his dead companions, and utilises them for his revenge on Fused Zamasu, his rage and anger carried across through space and time, to bring hope to more people beyond just himself, he's not a careless man, he's a hopeful man, and should be loved by Mortals and Deities alike.
