Thank you to today's sponsors:

There are SO many pressures that are put on us women – like to get married, to have kids, to have an amazing career – ALL at the same time and before it’s “too late”.

So it’s sadly no surprise at all how many women end up succumbing to the MASSIVE pressures and just give up on finding Mr. Right, or the job that they’re actually passionate about, and settle in the hopes that it will make everyone else (even the mailman) happy.

And we all know how that goes, right?? You end up living everyone else's life and you are left feeling like an empty shell of that amazing woman that you either used to be or the woman that you know that you can be!

So on this episode of Women of Impact, I wanted to bring on someone who stood her ground despite the INSANE pressures, broke the mold of what everyone expected of her, and got back up, even when life kept knocking her down!

This inspiring woman has it ALL - the career, the marriage, and the family - without giving in or settling. BUT (and of course there’s a catch), she didn’t do it until she was frikin’ 48 years old and most people said it was too late for her.

Today’s guest is journalist, talk show host, and author Tamron Hall!!

Now homies, you KNOW I believe in my core that age is just a number and you should NEVER let it stop you from making your dreams come true, and Tamron couldn’t be a better frikin’ role model to learn from!

In this episode, we dig into:
- How to maintain your confidence and get back up, even when you’ve been fired, left ANOTHER bad relationship, or feel like you’re “past your prime”
- Why you need to bet on yourself if you want to actually make changes in your life
- Tamron’s genius way of thinking about everything in your life as preparation
- How to handle people calling you difficult
- How to stay open to a man coming into your life, even when you think it’s “too late” for you
- And so much more!!

Let me tell you guys, by the end of this episode, you will know exactly what you need to do to, no matter what age you are, to take your power back in your life, not let challenges knock your confidence down, and do what you need to frikin’ do to make your dreams a reality WITHOUT settling or succumbing to anyone else's pressures in life!!

AMAZING QUOTES FROM TAMRON HALL:

“I have always been able to clearly understand it's not just me. I do shows on people who feel alone, right? And that's why I do it, because I do know so many people who feel alone."

"Wealth doesn't make you confident. Wealth doesn't determine anything other than, you know, if you could pay your bills on time every month."

"And so I, at that moment, again, decided to bet on myself and not let my story be created or written by anyone else but me."

"By the time I got fired at 48, I think I had done enough work and understanding that the fear of judgment was not going to hold me back."

"Life is a series of drills…You don't know when the crisis is going to happen."

"I think what was so appealing about our love is it was consistent at a time that things were so all over the place for me."

"I think most people have their dreams, and they just want those dreams to come true. And when given the chance, they would help other people have their dreams come true. But then he messiness of life happens."

Tamron I pray this makes it to you! I'm laying here in my bed on my 48th birthday August 11th !
I lost my Job two days ago on August 9th. I was with that company for 15 years.
I'm in the phrase you described. I'm sooo hurt that I can't find tears! I can't go backwards!
I haven't finished the full podcast yet.
No doubt in my mind God sent you as a messenger to minister to my heart.
I'm going to get up now and put my bright yellow birthday dress on and go to church! Thank you for getting my back on the road to God and my healing!
I find it super amazing God delivers! ❤

My mom restarted her life at 50..moved out of the country, found a new love, and made a life without my dad.. she was with him since she was 12. It's all she knew. We all have the ability to restart at any age.

Started over at 65 years, just after retiring. Imo, I'm finally living my best years. Happier, peaceful, healthier, and freedom to find and be myself.

I'm watching this at 48... starting over again.... just ended something I had no business being in... lost my job... no child... never married... believing for a miracle and making steps I should've made in my 20s.

It’s took me 3 days to watch this as I was watching my new granddaughter. I’m starting over at 55. Left the piece of relationship. Sold my house. Downsized. Kids grown. Moved to a different environment. I pray I find my tribe. New genuine friends.

I started over at 69 years after being fired from my dream job. I was shocked on how I was let go, and was unable to cry, or get mad, etc. It was on Friday when I was fired so my plan was to rent a truck and get my things out the office on Saturday. I made a few calls over the week-end and decided I was going to open my own business. By Monday I had a place to open my own office, and I move forward on my next step in the plan. Next, on Tuesday my office was open for business, and it is slowly growing into a successful company. The road has been rough and bumpy in starting my businesss because there are lots of other steps that must be completed in the forward movement. However, I am ready to shine and in control of my own destiny in my life now. I am not looking back and going forward on my new journey.

I’m starting over at 42 and this made me realize that I’m earlier than my favorite woman on earth. Therefore, I need to be kinder to myself and hopeful.

Am a nurse and last year I was working full time, budgeting groceries, unable to afford date nights, and missing time with my kids. Now I learned how to make money online. Now am a SAHM, homeschooling, and making profits every week.

I love how she said that about her stepdad. She said he was the dad that she was meant to have. Beautifully stated.
