My husband is 52 and wants to retire in 3-5 years and he has built a lot of wealth. He doesn’t need to work anymore but still does, life can get super depressing when you don’t have a purpose. We are here to serve others that honors God.

My husband and I are in this position. Both Veterans in our 40s and no need to work financially however we love to volunteer, and help where we can.

Retired at 40, doesn't need to work, but still getting job offers? Dang, most people including myself would kill to be in this situation.

I'd say go back to work, even PT, or volunteer.

Humans are not suppose to seat idle. I think he needs something to do. Even if it's a hobby or something. The fact that he doesn't need the money is all the more freeing. He can do whatever he wants.

My current boss is retired military. These people are great. They dont HAVE to be there, they WANT to be there. and they care.

People have been known to start new careers at 60 or even 70.

He came off so grounded like refreshing to hear a good man looking for insight from another good man that wasn't necessarily about money or finances but to how we steer the compass of our hearts, what we want in life versus what we need to do and getting to a place within our lives where the two can intersect..

Volunteer at a local kindergarten or school helping kids learn how to read. Teachers are always stretched and appreciate help in the classroom. Little kids need more good character male role models around them.

I am so glad I have come across this. I am turning 40 in a few days and will be graduating in Dec (BCOM- Marketing) and I don't even have a job. My friends tell me that it's better to look do business at my age which I have tried abit but not been successful. Considering going back to school for business Analytics and seek opportunities in that field. I am so inspired by this show!
