Sadly women are easily brainwashed by advertising, magazines, promotional crap on TV or radio etc
My partner was always falling for that crap and comparing herself to everything. I slowly got her to ignore that crap and concentrate on herself and reality.
She is a lot happier now!

Gosh that’s so true. I got divorced in my early twenties and was left alone and penniless to fend for them. Now I’m 50 and they’re all grown up and working hard and happy. I’ve been able to re invent myself and start a new career path in health care now

Update: I left this comment 9 months ago and Im still getting replies telling me that i am not happy. This is exactly what im talking about. Why is it so important to try and break down older women that people who dont even know me will try to convince me that Im not enjoying my life? Society tries to brainwash women that they're supposed to be unhappy over 40. Life over 40 is awesome and over 50 is even better. don't let anybody con you out of enjoying your life because they want to sell you the lie that you're only happiness is in your youth. My childhood and young adulthood was very unhappy. I would not want to go back and do it again. I'm 57 and absolutely love my life. No one is convincing me to feel otherwise.
