I always felt weird about rambling on about hyperfixations and being hyper and constantly drawing or doodling, until I noticed a common pattern of my friends pointing out that they enjoyed my weirdness and it's one of the reasons they enjoy being friends with me. I just saw a whole video essay talking about how people don’t really have hobbies because they are afraid of being “cringe” or they perceive not being nonchalant about something as cringe and it just makes me upset that there’s people out there who just don’t explore whats out there. Like the day I realized that I have so many resources that can just be on my phone is the day I started learning 4 languages on Duolingo for fun. The day I realized that I had a sewing kit just sitting around was the day I decided to learn to stitch. The day I saw a kid at my school crocheting was when I decided I would ask them to teach me. Idk just explore interests even if it’s cringe, because it’s your life in the end.
