Watched John win The Open at St. Andrews 30 years ago. He had the softest hands on a wedge I've ever seen. He caressed the ball onto good green positions. An unbelievable talent.

Can we give Jim dent some credit? His movement is effortless, gracious, consistent. He was RIGHT there on Daly's heels. Impressive. He average like a 312 yard drive this contest. Come on now

You just can’t truly appreciate seeing just how hard John hits the ball unless you see him do it in person. First time i saw it, I could not understand how he didn’t break his shoelaces every time he pulled that driver out.

There is no way that John Daly weighed 175 lbs, except for maybe when he was a toddler.
But even so, he can still hit further than a lot of guys today.

That swing and club speed is just awesome. It has that Sound, much like when a great baseball hitter is around. You can tell by the crack of the bat someone different is hitting.

Daly added some excitement for a bit for sure. If you listened he went on to play and hit one 358...imagine him with one of todays drivers...jeez, would more than hold his own with any of the long hitters today.
