Lyrics
---------
On the first part of the journey
I was looking at all the life
There were plants and birds and rocks and things
There was sand and hills and rings
The first thing I met was a fly with a buzz
And the sky with no clouds
The heat was hot and the ground was dry
But the air was full of sound
I've been through the desert on a horse with no name
It felt good to be out of the rain
In the desert you can't remember your name
'Cause there ain't no one for to give you no pain
La la la la la la...
After two days in the desert sun
My skin began to turn red
And after three days in the desert fun
I was looking at a river bed
And the story it told of a river that flowed
Made me sad to think it was dead
You see I've been through the desert on a horse with no name
It felt good to be out of the rain
In the desert you can't remember your name
'Cause there ain't no one for to give you no pain
La la la la la la...
After nine days I let the horse run free
'Cause the desert had turned to sea
There were plants and birds and rocks and things
There was sand and hills and rings
The ocean is a desert with its life underground
And a perfect disguise above
Under the cities lies a heart made of ground
But the humans will give no love
You see I've been through the desert on a horse with no name
It felt good to be out of the rain
In the desert you can't remember your name
'Cause there ain't no one for to give you no pain
La la la la la la...
Thank you all very much
Take care of yourselves, take care

I love it when HSCC has a shift around. Brad as a great voice and Jordan keeps a great groove... Brilliant choice of song too... Ace!

Yes, there have been a few singers that have come and gone, but it's impossible to not recognize and appreciate how incredibly rare it is that 5 good friends, FROM THE SAME CITY Jordan, Kat, Brad and Con, have been blessed with such stratospheric talent they can cover, to perfection, 90% of the songs from the 70s, 80s, and 90s that became national and international hits. That amount of material is literally impossible to quantify. That's why HSCC is the #1 cover band in the world.

A little Yacht Rock with The HSCC! Let's be honest, by a show of hands, how many listeners out there were singing along? Great harmony, laid-back, and relaxed, easy listening and mixed to perfection! The HSCC, You CAN Do Magic (hint). ❤

One of the most beautiful songs ever made. Resurrected by one of the best drummers of this moment. What a voice. And he plays guitar like he does it every day on the main stages of the world.

Thank you. My weekend is made.

Great cover! I learned to play guitar at 13 while listening to America on radio 2NX back in 1972, and here we are in 2024, strumming up a storm with the same number, but with a much more enhanced version. Well done, HSCC, you guys and girls deserve all the accolades that you get... :)

This song brings wonderful memories. After school and homework done I’d jump on my horse and ride and daydream ! His name was Cobre ( Copper) he stayed but I always went back to see him every chance I got and listened to this song as I rode him. He’s gone but he will live forever in my heart. Thanks for this beautiful song❤
