Meet the real-life news presenter behind the world’s first AI anchor

The artificial intelligence (AI) news presenters on China’s Xinhua are modeled on flesh-and-blood anchors, one of them is Qiu Hao. The state news agency says it plans to expand its team of AI newsreaders, despite questions about whether they will ever be able to replace humans in the role.
