I dont understand this move Shimano made, 105 was an affordable performance groupset, why make an expensive version of that when you already have higher end alternatives.

My 15-year-old GT with 105 brakes levers and dual ace crank etc keeps up with my local club which is Dewsbury, Yorkshire.
Plus mine never seems to go wrong as much as most of the riders who spend 6k plus on their bikes. My mate just bought the electric group set and his back derailleur is bent already. Which cost as much as my whole bike to replace.
At least down worry about every little pothole or grate in the road as they all have to retreat their bikes with kids gloves

I agree with you, but carbon fiber older than 10 years starts to decay and can be precarious to ride! Beautiful ride btw! Reminds me of Armstrong’s bike during the TdF
