My own WiFi Network wont show up in list (Solved)

wifi network won't list in available networks; Network adapter suddenly can't find my wifi network; My own WiFi Network wont show up in list- such problem can face PC/MAC user. I have heard problem like this:

I am the Admin, and the router is working but I did not yet reboot it, as it working well for other computers. The wireless is enabled, and in fact this system and computer were OK till yesterday when I opened it after a long time I did not use the computer (A new ASUS). Tomorrow I shall get to it again, to see why closest WiFi, my own, is not showing on the long list of others nearby.

I can see all other WiFi networks in our area, but not my own. I have taken basic actions of On-Off, On-Off WiFi, restarting OS, Taking known network (Mine) off, and hoping it will show up, NO, recreating it and No - yet it works on my MacBook and the other computer on our home and it simply is a sad case of not being able to to share with MS my feedback on the self fixing tools. There is no good reason for the ASUS to not see the local WiFi.

This is not the problem of your PC/MAC. It is about router setting. If dual band active in your router it may be conflicting. So your computer cann't identify your home network. Just deactivate one band in router, problem solved!

This guide works flawlessly.Your router setting might be a bit different in-terms of layout like mine was.I didn't find 20/40Mz bands in advanced but in wireless.So I'll just advice you all, if struggling, to keep looking for this option rather than watching other videos.

I went through a thousand videos. Reset my laptop numerous times. But it was my router that was the problem. To factory reset your router just put a pen or pin in the tiny hole at the back, and hold for 10 seconds, and release. Boom! Internet back.

thank u so much this was not the same solution for me but this gave me and idea of direction to the solution, in my router setting I just had a choice of 20hz, 40hz or both, by default it was 20/40hz and it wasnt showing my wifi, but when I changed it ti 40hz only it started showing up on all my devices, thank u dude for sharing this

I had this happen today on an old HP laptop with W8.1 where I could see a small list of available connections, but not mine. It seems my internet host locked down the modem settings, so I had limited choice... I plugged the laptop straight to the modem ethernet and went to Device Manager, then updated the wireless driver there. When it finished updating, my list was complete even with my own! Modern modems seem to play dirty tricks on old wireless drivers.
