One thing I like about your channel, and YouTube in general, is it’s a good way to learn things you didn’t know before. It’s quick and easy, digestible information that expands your knowledge and how you interact with the world around you.

Before watching this video, I knew what bread was. Before watching this video, I knew what cake was. And at the start of the video, I was so excited to learn more about what makes bread bread and what makes cake cake.

Yet here I sit, at the end of the video, now living in a world where the line between bread and cake has become so blurry that bread and cake have ceased to exist, and somehow exist simultaneously side by side. You have dropped me in the middle of Shcroedinger’s bakery, and I will never find my way out.

I think if you’ve tried bread made outside the us, you’ll realize that standard American bread is basically cake in every other country. It contains way too much sugar and butter.

as someone who works at subway, i can tell you, we don't even make the cookies. we just bake them.

McDonald’s was once sued over the Quarter Pounder. Someone weighed their burger and found it weighed less than a quarter pound. McD actually had a plausible explanation. The pattie is 1/4 pound precooked. It looses some weight during cooking. McD’s advertising now states that the 1/4 weight is the precooked weight.
