Oh Subway, it was not so long ago that we were trying to figure out if your bread was REALLY bread or if it was secretly cake. Well, it looks like we are not ready to say goodbye to your scandals. Today, we are opening the sandwich on what exactly you have been putting inside them. Specifically, your "tuna". Is it tuna? Is it even FISH? Time to find out!

Next thing you know there will be a class action lawsuit accusing Subway Sandwiches of not being made of actual "sand" or "witches"

As a former subway employee, I actually liked most of the food. All the vegetables were fresh, and if we ran out we were often resupplied by our local grocery stores. All the meat came packaged from corporate of course but it was just as good as any other deli meat. We made the bread in the store every day. Veggie patties are surprisingly tasty. Just never get a cold cut combo, I never trusted that.

The fact that he brought Subway James out of retirement to make the opening segment should say alot about Matpat’s efforts

This whole theory is really just matpat being like: “guys. Common sense.”

A subway Theorist episode featuring TheOdd1sOut is just a natural fit. Team Theorist meets Team Animation and I love it.

Theory: The fast food industry hires these people to sue them. Most people don't look at these companies until the media gets involved.

“Why are there so little olives” always the right question

“Also why are there so few olives?”

“Eh, I can’t remember if we’re supposed to put 6 or 8 on there”

The “and why are there so little olives” got me, Odd1sOut reference was so funny

Honestly, cases like this I'm more likely to believe are just publicity stunts by companies themselves than actual legitimate complaints. This isn't like the 'pink goo' case where we had actual footage of McDonalds processing meat into paste to make their burgers. Ironically, that would have had more traction than something like this, yet went nowhere as far as I'm aware.

This sounds like a really devious but plausible marketing campaign. Hire someone to sue you for something that you know isn't true then capitalize on the exposure.

I love how he asked about the olives, only true sooubway fans would know

Hey Mat, as a insomniac, it was shocking to me that warm milk was recently revealed to not help you sleep. Can you do a episode about sleep foods?

“ON THE SIDE!”
“On the side of what?”
“ONIONS!”

“Why are there so few olives” this is such a good callback to the 6 olives joke on James’s Sooubway video lol

The 'why are there so few olives' thing cracked me up. I used to work at a subway and the owner quite literally ORDERED every employee there to put as few as possible on the sandwhich and if anyone asked for more olives we were only allowed to put ONE more olive on the sandwhich for each time asked

The real conspiracy theory is whether the lawsuits were orchestrated by Subway themselves.
