Good job. Keep up the good work.

Great video. Totally agree about those missing links in robotics. Boston Dynamics has some very impressive bots but they are as dumb as a sack of hammers left to their own devices. Funny how battery life is never mentioned when we see those amazing physical feats. Conceivably a domestic robot could have corded power like electric mowers with batteries used as a backup. Not ideal but a band aid solution. A kitchen robot could be a plug in. If it was dexterous enough it could service that area of the home. I also believe batteries will improve over time. The AI is a huge issue for human like bots. Maybe a huge central neural net may be the go before such processors are small enough to be in each device. Same as the shrinkage from huge main frames down to smart phones with CPUs. It's really just a matter of when not if IMO.

Accepting limitations is key. Buying groceries isn't really something humanoid robots need to do. Companionship and sex comes first, then better conversations and doing little tasks at home. A robowaifu sitting around most time doesn't even need enough battery power to move around for one hour. She can plug herself in as soon as she reached her new place.

They can be the next ascending of human evolution forms some day, not all metalic, not all flesh, but biological and neurostatic transition of who we were.

I don't think it's 5-10 years away at the rate we are going at present moment... more like 20-25 years.

What if they make structural components of the robot batteries? Like the “leg bone” and forearm of the robot is a sold state battery or LFP?

I *REALLY* hope we don't make robots look like humans or biologicalcl creatures. As some one who is very sensitive to the uncanny Valley and has a fear of dolls, I would *VASTLY* prefer we make robots look like robots, or atleast make them easily discernable from their biological counterparts. And as you can guess from my pfp, I am a furry, so I have no issues appreciating and empathize with non-human creatures and animate objects. I can understand that some people are incapable of empathizing with things that are too different from them, but thats an issue with MANY other significant implications besides weither or not said people are gonna respect a robot or not.

I would rather live in an unkempt home than have that monster doing chores.

Lots of cool information here. Forgive my philosophical pondering, but I just wonder where all of this technology will take us. Without world population approaching 10 billion inhabitants, do we really need to create a humanoid? Are we trying to create something superior to ourselves? And aside from that, even if its a highly capable robot that can perform equal in measure to an average human being, won't that send yet hundreds of millions more humans into the unemployment lines? That is a slippery slope and something scientists & roboticists should consider before playing God so to speak.

Autopilot that isn't an autopilot. Yes, that sounds about par for the course. The autopilot doesn't even work in a tunnel. Let's use that as the basis of our next -Cyber Semi- -Solar City- -Hyperloop- -point to point rockets- brainfart.

Can't wait to have humanoid robots doing all the hard work and boring repetitive tasks. It would free all humans to pursue higher goals and exponentially reach unimanigable levels of technological advancement. The robot workforce would grow and distribute the food, mine and process the materials to make all the things we need, including more robots. Humans will do only intellectual/creative work and the current economic model of exchanging labour for money will become obsolete. Every human will be guaranteed a living wage, food, education, housing and healthcare as these things will be achieved by the toil of machines, without a drop of sweat from the brow of any man or woman.
