I also make sure I stick to a schedule daily.
-Garden in the morning (my workout)
-Light house work-loading laundry in machine.
-Cook meals for lunch/dinner
-Schedule a break
-More house chores
-each day I tackle different chores as to not over do it any particular day.
Make time to read and relax away from TV.

Great tips Will tx. I removed caffeine sugar and processed foods from my diet, and 1st thing out of bed do the McGill Big 3 stabilizing exercises then head out for a walk with my dog around 6 ... wait till 8 for breakfast and any resistance stuff mid morning. I make meals and do chores etc and get another walk in after dinner so around 7000 steps which for me with hip injury and sciatica at 68 is really good. After a really tough 18 months 1st summer I can enjoy and poor Kiwi the Wonder Dog is ecstatic!

I think these are very useful tips but definitely many of them constitute a considerable challenge for most of us, certainly for me. I would like to add two points: convenience machines etc have taken away a lot of physical chores. If we try to do more of those gardening and similar, that is probably going to improve sleep too. Shopping on foot instead of doing the car, mowing a lawn, digging holes, cutting branches, even cleaning a room (watch your back though!!) is what I would add to the recommendations.
A totally different second point. The 321 rule sounds excellent, but is extremely challenging for most people. Aiming towards it is better than not trying at all. What I mean by that is if you manage to be away from the screen 30 minutes before bed thats bettter than 0 minutes! I mean dont give up entitrely if you cant manage Bill Harlows high bars of 3 2 1. Aiming towards that goal is better than not trying at all. Not eating two hours before bed is better than one hour before bed etc. Sometimes I think doctors dont encourage enough. Drinking 5 bottles of wine a week is a lot but its better than a bottle a day. 20 fags a day is bad for health but if you have cut down from 40 that deserves encouragement and praise. Walking 2000 paces a day isnt optimal but its a heck of a lot better than 200!! Sometimes doctors give the impression that you have to achieve all or nothing and then people give up entirely when they do not perform 100%.

Shopping is a necessary chore and can also be a form of exercise. I use a cart to help me walk, but I still get the legs moving and buy what I need at the same time. I'm 75.
Thanks for the videos.😊

I am a musician, accostoed to working till 2AM, loading up a keyboard and driving 60 miles. I don't _have_ a circadian rhythm, i have a cicadian rhythm, I get a good night's sleep every 17 years...😴

What has given me an energy boost, literally overnight, was doing this Qigong pelvic exercise. I started it to stimulate peristalsis but noticed that I became a lot more energetic in the mornings and throughout the day.

I've been telling myself to get active earlier in the day. No more excuses now. The coffee thing will be hard though. 😪

Ah! I found coffee with breakfast made me tired. Thanks for explaining why. I switched to tea and no longer feel tired.
