I think Minthara is really the only one who can handle Ascended Astarion, she will not allow herself to be in such an abusive (almost slavish) and demeaning position like Urge/Tav. She won't let him get so *drunk* on his permissiveness and self-confidence. I think she is able to make him a *true vampire lord* that will be more than just in by name how now. What he could accomplish with a wise bride like Minthara.

This reminds me of an old Web Comic whose name escapes me. There is a meeting between Dark Elves and Elves in a forest and the women leaders are talking. One of the male Elf guards makes fun of the Dark Elf male standing next to him for being a slave. The Dark Elf corrects him with "Pleasure Slave" and smiles big. It then shows a panel of really pretty Dark Elf women in the camp and then all the Normal Elf males are angry as the Dark Elf slave has a huge smile next to them.
