Deep breath into your belly.
Feet forward, grip the ground with spread toes, and with your feet in the same position (pointing forward) try and twist your ankles so the inside ankles are facing forward and up. This gives you an arch in your foot and allows an easier path for your knees to follow.
And on the descent hold your breath in your gut and push your bum back .
