Hello scotty, i have a 1999 toyota solara. i scanned it with my neighbors scan tool and these three codes came on(P1130, P1135, and P0441). I got this car as a fixer upper as my first car. so im trying to do this as much as hands on as possible. thanks you for the help, i fixed my AC with your videos.

you have to use a scan tool on that model to shut it off, and yes, low coolant can turn that light on

most people have no idea what a MIL light means. these videos are for them. I've been fixing cars for 44 years, I know all the terms, but I only use em with other mechanics.

they are often caused by the evap system too, they trip loads of codes in a row often

you need a scan tool to reset it, but realize the gas cap may or may not have fixed the problem, many things can cause evap leaks. If it was the gas cap, just drive it, the car would turn the light off in a few days driving then.

@pomonasss that helmet is my son's flight helmet from afghanistan the last time around. He was in the 82nd airborne, and when he transferred to the 101st airborne he got a new helmet. So I got to keep his first helmet. And here in Texas, you don't even need a helmet, the land of the free. Scotty Kilmer

all 2004 toyotas in the US use obd II, yours is something else, you would have to ask someone who works on those models, they don't sell em here where I live and work.

Hello Scotty and viewers!  You are priceless Scotty.  These scanners can at least allow motorist to know exactly what they need to clean or replace.  I just purchased on obd scanner from amazon for 17 dollars and tested my 98 dodge ram and my 02 ford f150.  The 98 ran came up with no codes.  The 02 ford came up with a p103 code and in the booklet I received with mine t said it was my MAF sensor.  I cleaned the maf plug and sensor and then re installed my battery ground.  So if My engine light comes back and I receive the same code I will know to replace the maf sensor.
