She's wise not to use the US medical system, especially in the right-wing hellhole of Texas. Not only are Blacks discriminated against within it, but she might have had unnecessary procedures performed by doctors simply so that they could charge her for them, and then there's always the notoriously exorbitant cost of medical procedures in the US, resulting in people being driven to bankruptcy and homelessness by medical bills, a horrible phenomenon that exists nowhere else in the world but shows no signs of changing in the United States (though it's only been a phenomenon in the US for forty years).
