Thanks for the video. One thing though if I'm not wrong, on this Champion engine, you're suppose to only dip the stick for the oil check and not screw it in..

Loosing the filler cap will help the oil drain faster I think. I have a Champion 11, 500 (9250 steady). I use Valvoline VR1 10w30 in the winter & 40 or 50w in the summer (20w50 too). These generators work hard and need a good racing oil. Nice, to the point video.

Get a Drainzit or Fumoto valve. Get a magnetic dipstick. Tip the generator to drain the last bit of oil.

I have similar champion generator without the auto starter, I am on the east coast (NJ) would you recommend regular or synthetic 10w-30. I rarely use it only the generator(bought it for emergency power outrages)

Does the wattage make a difference because I have a bigger one it is 5000 starting 4000 running so I am trying to figure out if I would or could follow the same instructions on the oil change???

manual says 5w 30, preferably synthetic; for cold and hot conditions. 10w 30 may be fine, but it's sub-optimal. they have engineers that test this stuff.

18.5 ounces is abt have a quart. Just look on your oil bottle. Why do you think they’ve numbers/measurements on the side for ?
