How To Build A Custom Center Console On A Budget!

preview_player
Показать описание
Learn how to build a cheap custom center console. About $12 to be exact. I used mostly scrap wood and recycled vinyl. Installed in my 1969 Ford XL Fastback. Special Thanks To @charles1matt for the awesome videos that gave me the confidence to do this. It's not as good as his, but it works great for me.

I was kind of snickering to myself the whole time about what a great job you were doing with absolutely no money invested. Well done. I'm going out to the garage now.

Before CAD came along, this is how we designed the duct work in the aerospace industry. We even used our cardboard mockups to perform airflow analysis.

Great work and some much needed guidance and motivation to build a short one to fit in my '70 Belvedere wagon with a bench seat. I need space for some Vintage Air HVAC pots as well as a single DIN and perhaps a pair of gauges from the bottom of the dash to the floor.
What did you used for the drink holders?
I REALLY dig your Ford!!!

Looks great! I'm trying to build one for my '56 Thunderbird. It is a floor shifter.

I'm researching this for a 1969 Ford Galaxie 500 and its wild that you just happen to have the same dash I'm dealing with when I found your video.

It`s not perfect. It does not have to be perfect. The only thing that really matters, is that it is a commendable effort and that you are personally pleased with the final project. Have a great day.
