Attention !
For begginers or for more precise work,
just remove your old seats upholstery and unsew everything into pieces, so then you will have a completely precise pattern for your car seats. Then at the pattern you can design custom upholstery designs, and then you just have a little more job because it's custom design but if you want to change just fabric of seats this way it's a lot easier.

That long arm industrial sewing machine and extended table is the tricky part.

I have been making my own seat covers for my motorcycle a few times now and it's basically just basic pleats and connections. Really would like to try making one for my car. Learned a lot of tricks from this video! Great job!

Awesome work guys! Just started tinkering with a sewing machine. I want to learn how to do this stuff so that I can reupholster my dream car, that after waiting over 40 years I finally acquired last year! Need to schedule taking your next class for sure!

Nice work on the seat. I just finished the class today in Salt Lake City at Cato's new shop. It's definitely a workout.

Been in the upholstery business 46 years. Cato does great work! Watched a lot on Iron Resurrection. I would like to see a how to video on leather wrapping and stitching a steering wheel. .

I was taught never to glue leather to foam and never to glue the cover to the seat foam.

Just bought a Lotus Europa, and need to reupholster the seats. This is so helpful - even if I buy the covers the assembly tuition is going to be so handy to refer to.

i did upholstery at a boat factory, then did custom boat upholstery. hard part is to learn to stitch straight. now i learned how to build a shoe/boot from scratch with 360 welts. i messed up a lot of shoes and boots before i made something worth wearing. glad i used cheap leathers. humans have the fastest muscle memory, we learn fast.
