I don't think people undetstand reel. If you have alot of weight or parking on a incline and you move from D to P and then apply the handbrake you will notice the car slightly moves which in turn makes the weight of the car rest on the P lock in tge transmission which you want to avoid so you should do what its showing in the vid where you go from D to N then apply handbrake, let go of foot brake and then apply foot brake again and then move to P so then all the weight is resting on handbrake and if for whatever your handbrake fails then your P lock is a fail safe
