My girlfriend was listening in on the video and made the comment that the reason that Megan probably ran on all 4s despite it being slower is because the first instance of violent behavior she learned was from a dog which is on 4 legs constantly. So the pinnacle of aggression in her memory moves like that, and she mimics.

In terms of a killing robot, M3GAN is well-designed. In terms of a safe product for kids, it is horribly designed. Even if they had programmed it to prevent stuff like this from happening, what happens if the robot shorts and accidentally hugs a kid to death? The company will be sued to oblivion, that is what would happen. Gemma is responsible for all those murders and Cady should be taken away from her immediately.

What pisses me off the most is that 80% of horror movies can be avoided by being smart, unless the plot involves external factors like the zombies in The Last of Us, World War Z etc. I swear with each new horror movie the main characters become more and more stupid with their decision making

I think that if someone chained the dog and he didn't bite M3gan, she wouldn't have killed anyone. Because you can see that when the dog bites her, there are sparks, so obviously some wires got destroyed and so she went all crazy

As long as you have the memory core, all you'd really need to do is transfer it to an appropriately sized "age upgrade".

The machine is the same, but its host child is able to psychologically bond with it due to the changing appearance. And the best part is that each upgrade looks more human, kind of like the progression of fidelity in old smart phones vs. new ones.

You could even do trade-in deals where you can get the upgrade at a reduced price, with maybe an upgrade for pre-teens/teens, one for young adults, and maybe one fully adult upgrade if the kid just loves their M3GAN THAT freaking much and simply refuses to part with it.

With anything else, you just transfer the existing data to a new memory core that has faster processing speeds and storage, just like we do with phones.

With the intelligence level Gemma showed throughout the movie no wonder M3gan was extremely flawed.

I heard a lot of people mention/complain of the plot hole that if Gemma is so disconnected and not desirous of raising Cady, she should have just let her go to her grandparents. My reason, and I might be doing some of the movie's work here, is that there has to be a reason that Cady's parents didn't do that in the first place, that they didn't make the grandparents the primary custodians in the event of their demise. They're the paternal grandparents, Gemma has never met them before, and she even comes to the same conclusion.
