Economics in One Lesson is a must read. It should be required reading in school. Very good book. Anyone getting into economics/politics NEEDS to read that. Its a great beginner book. Laymans terms nothing complex. Quick short straight to the point.

The other book he talked about, basic economics is amazing as well. 1 of the best. True, its longer at around 400 pages but its in laymans terms and extremely easy to get through.

Read those 2 books in that order and your foundation of economics/political knowledge will be decent.

Those 2 books will get you to an intermediate knowledge of economics i would say. Maybe an advanced beginner.

As an American, it’s good to read the constitution and gain further understanding of your inalienable rights etc. I know it’s not a book but there’s plenty of books written about it.
